The work of john zizioulas, a contemporary greek orthodox theologian, offers a major contribution to the development of eucharistic ecclesiology and to theological dialogues in the context of the ecumenical movement. His thought develops from the eucharistic synaxis as the gathering of the whole church in one place under the presidency of the bishop surrounded by the presbyterium and the other ministers. Body of christ and fellowship of the holy spirit, this church exists in history as a communion of churches of god taking part in the same mystery. The church manifests and realizes a particular way of being for man who finds communion to his ultimate future in church experience. The main themes of this ecclesiology having been exposed, this study analyses it from three different points of view regarding to its methodology, its orthodox character and to its ecumenical significance. The conclusion raises the question of the reception of this ecclesiology by the recent catholic theology.

L'oeuvre de jean zizioulas, theologien orthodoxe grec contemporain, apporte une contribution majeure au developpement de l'ecclesiologie eucharistique et aux dialogues theologiques dans le cadre du mouvement oecumenique. Sa pensee se developpe a partir de la syntaxe eucharistique concue comme le rassemblement de l'eglise entiere en un lieu donne sous la presidence de l'eveque entoure du presbyterium et des autres ministres. Corps du christ et communion de l'espritsaint, cette eglise existe dans l'histoire comme une communion d'eglises de dieu participant au meme mystere. Elle manifeste et realise un mode d'etre particulier pour l'homme qui trouve dans l'experience ecclesiale une communion a son avenir ultime. Apres avoir expose les grands themes de cette ecclesiologie, cette etude en propose une analyse selon une triple perspective en envisageant successivement sa methodologie, son caractere confessionnellement orthodoxe et sa portee oecumenique. La conclusion souleve la question de la reception de ces positions ecclesiologiques par la theologie catholique recente.
