The aim of this thesis is to clarify, through the Moroccan experience, the links existing between international sub-contracting and the industrialization of a country in development. Even if, it arouzed some favorable effects on employment and the structure of external trade, sub-contracting did not entail a real manufacturer dynamic. The thesis puts in light multiple insufficiencies, especially related to administrative constraints, to the training of workforce, and to the absence an entrepreneurial spirit at the Moroccan industrials. It also shows that revitalization of production system necessitats the establishing of a partnership framework between the Moroccan sub-contracting firms and the foreign principle donors. Such a possibility requires an effort from the state concerning the organization of economic and judicial environment of the firm, an integration of the concept of strategic management in the Moroccan firms' strategies, as well as an increased commitment of the international capital, in order to make this cooperation possible

L'objectif de cette thèse est d'élucider à travers l'expérience marocaine, les liens entre la sous-traitance internationale et l'industrialisation d'un pays en développement. Bien qu'elle ait suscité des effets favorables sur l'emploi et la structure du commerce extérieur, la sous-traitance n'a pas entrainé une véritable dynamique industrielle. La thèse met en lumière de multiples insuffisances qui tiennent aussi bien aux contraintes administratives qu'à la formation de la main d'œuvre ou à l'absence d'esprit d'entreprise chez les industriels marocains. Elle montre aussi que la revitalisation du système productif nécessite un cadre partenarial qui pourrait s'établir entre les entreprises sous-traitantes marocaines et les entreprises donneuses d'ordre étrangères. Une telle éventualité exige un effort étatique dans l'aménagement de l'espace économique et juridique de l'entreprise, une intégration du concept du management stratégique dans les stratégies des entreprises marocaines, et un engagement accru du capital international pour faire aboutir cette coopération
