The capital goods sector is now becoming the core of the mexican industrialization. Because is an industrial sector that deals with the technological change, this sector is the center of the economic expansion phenomenon. From 1940 today, the industrialization was the motive power of the economic growth. In accordance with the evolution of the industrialization based on import substitution, the phase concerning the consumer goods is now finished and mexico is actually progressing to an advanced stage concerning an intensive production in capital goods. This working study focus to analyse the evolution and the expansion possibilities of the mexican capital goods industry. The capital goods industry was built up having production's conditions with a low technological level. Actually, this industry confront a serious problem resulting from the competitive technological demand's evolution. This problem is not only a temporary disorder between the supply and demand, but a profound consequence from various factors spawning a limitation in the industry's development process. The expansion possibilities of the capital goods industry are based in : an increase of the productive installed capacity utilization coefficient and the national integration, and a selected diversification in new products and production processes. The development of the mexican capital goods industry is an imperative to support the economic growth, to reach the technological mastery and to be integrated in the world's industrializaton process.

Le secteur des biens d'équipement est en train de devenir un des axes primordiaux de l'industrialisation mexicaine. Le fait qu'il s'agit d'un secteur industriel ou le progrès technique est créé, matérialisé et diffuse, le place au centre du phénomène d'expansion économique. Des 1940 jusqu'à nos jours, l'industrialisation a été le moteur de la croissance économique. Selon l'évolution d'une industrialisation basée sur la substitution aux importations, l'étape concernant les biens de consommation est déjà terminée et on avance vers une phase de production intensive de biens d'équipement. Etudier l'évolution et les possibilités d'expansion de l'industrie nationale, tel est l'objectif de ce travail. L'industrie des biens d'équipement s'est affirmée au Mexique comme ayant des conditions de production d'un bas degré technologique, de sorte qu'elle affronte actuellement un problème d'adaptation à l'évolution d'une demande compétitive en technologie. Ce retard n'est pas simplement un désajustement temporaire entre l'offre et la demande mais une conséquence d'une série de facteurs qui ont limite le processus de développement de cette industrie. Les principaux axes des possibilités d'expansion de l'industrie des biens d'équipement sont : un accroissement du coefficient d'utilisation de la capacité installée de production et de l'intégration nationale, et l'incorporation de nouveaux produits et processus de production. Le développement de l'industrie mexicaine des biens d'équipement est un impératif pour soutenir la croissance économique, parvenir à la maitrise technologique et s'intégrer au processus mondial d'industrialisation.
