Bachelard et Hartmann : de l'épistémologie à l'ontologie

The aim of our paper is to go from an epistemological issue (bachelard) to ontological considerations (N. Hartmann), based on three main topics. The first part - "entre determinisme, indeterminisme et realisme" (between determinism, indeterminism and realism) - examines the notions of determinism, indeterminism and realism as used by Bachelard to develop his ontological reflections and as the starting point of a confrontation with hartmann's ontology. The purpose of the second part - "du réalisme scientifique au réalisme ontologique: continuité et rupture" (from scientific realism to ontological realism: convergence and rupture) - is to compare bachelard's scientific realism and hartmann's ontological realism. By going deeper into these two forms of realism; we saw them confront each other, complement and enhance each other, on the basis of the relationships between bachelard's notion of "approximate verity" and the major concept of hartmann's "gnoseological irrational". Finally, the third part - "les elements pour une nouvelle ontologie" (the elements for a new ontology) - sets the conditions for progressing from epistemology to ontology based on our investigations, while outlining the main features of this new ontology and the new rationality it is intimately linked with.

Comment passer d'une problématique épistémologique (Bachelard) a des considérations ontologiques (N. Hartmann)? tel était l'objet de cette thèse composée de trois parties qui s'articulent. La première partie (entre déterminisme, indéterminisme et réalisme) examine les notions de déterminisme, d’indéterminisme et de réalisme en ce qu'elles peuvent porter les éléments d'une réflexion ontologique chez Bachelard et par suite rendre compte des conditions d'une confrontation avec l'ontologie hartmanienne. La deuxième partie (du réalisme scientifique au réalisme ontologique: continuité et rupture) veut cerner et approfondir le réalisme scientifique de Bachelard et le réalisme ontologique de Hartmann. Ainsi, nous avons vu s'opposer, se compléter et s'enrichir mutuellement ces deux formes de réalisme. Cela s'est fait sur la base des rapports entre l’idée bachelardienne de "vérité approchée" et le concept majeur de "irrationnel gnoséologique" chez Hartmann. Enfin, la troisième partie (les éléments pour une nouvelle ontologie) trace les conditions de possibilité du passage de épistémologie a l'ontologie au regard de nos investigations. On y dégage les traits essentiels de cette nouvelle ontologie et de la nouvelle rationalité qui lui est intimement liee.
