L'analyse de la gestion des entreprises chez Jean-Baptiste Say : contenu et postérité intellectuelle

This work is interested in an economist Jean-Baptiste Say (1767-1832) and the French liberal economists who have succeeded to him. Although Say has been forgotten by most of the economists, he is presented here as an author who develops an original problematics. The latter is unknown by the british classics with regard to management and entrpreneurship. Our purpose was to show the works of J-B Say and French liberal economists constitute an essential stage in the understanding that we have of functions and results of enterprise. Our thesis structure on two parts. At first, the conception of political economy in Say's work and entrepreneur's knowledhe for a good management of the enterprise are analysed. Subsequently, the conception of political economy in the work of liberal economits is presented and the qualities of entrepreneur too. These authors develop a different conception of political economy.

Ce travail s'intéresse à un économiste industriel, Jean-Baptiste Say (1767-1832) et aux économistes libéraux français qui prendront sa suite. Ainsi, alors que Say a été oublié par la plupart des économistes, il est ici présenté comme un auteur qui développe une problématique originale étrangère aux économistes anglais, relativement au rôle qu'il attribue à l'entrepreneur dans la gestion de l'entreprise. Notre objectif tout au long de la thèse a été de montrer que les travaux de J-B Say et des économistes libéraux français constituent une étape essentielle dans la compréhension que nous avons de l'analyse des fonctions et des performances. Notre thèse s'articule en deux parties. Dans un premier temps, la conception de l'économie politique chez Say est analysée ainsi que les connaissances de l'entrepreneur pour une bonne gestion de l'entreprise. Dans un second temps, la conception de l'économie politique chez les économistes libéraux est exposée de même que les conceptions différentes de l'économie politique.
