The choice of buying foreign technology in order to accelerate his industrialization has characterised the amgerian developement strategy. In order to explain the reasons of the actual discussion who tends to deny all relevance to this strategy, we have to analyze exhaustively the difficulties inherente to technology transfer, by examining the case of the industrial complex of el-hadjar. How corporate management has tried to resolve the problems of capacity underutilization, over costs due to insufficient maintenance ability and so on are the main preoccupations of this thesis.

En optant pour l'achat de technologie etrangere pour son industrialisation, l'algerie a cru qu'elle pouvait facilement,rattraper le retard la separant des pays developpes. C'etait sans compter sur les problemes inherents qui regissaient les mecanismes de diffusion technologique. L'etude porte sur la siderurgie et en particulier le complexe d'el-hadjar ou un certain nombre de problemes sont apparus et entravent son fonctionnement : faible capacite de production, dependance technologique, surcouts, maintenance insuffisante etc. . . Neanmoins,une strategie a ete mise en place afin de surmonter ces diffulcultes et arriver a une veritable maitrise tehcnologique.
