A reading of the platonician corpus focused on the prologues, intermedes and epilogues of the dialogues and which refuses to turn them into literary ornaments leads us to put forward the hypothesis that this very corpus is made in the image of the soul and likewise is tripartite. An organisation of the texts according to the composition of their prologues bringsout three types of dialogues : we will call the first one "epithumical" because it imitates the epithumical part of soul, the second one will be called "thumoeidical" because it is in the image of the "thumos" and the third one will be called "logistical" because of its copying the "nous". A new reading of the corpus according to this order shows that each of the three families of dialogues illustrates the various states of its own emblematical psychological instance : the "epithumia" rebelling against or submitting both to the "thumos" and yhe "nous", the "thumos" appearing as either anger or courage, the "nous" having or not the power to play its leading role over the "epithumia" and the "thumos".

Une lecture du corpus platonicien, centree sur les prologues, intermedes et epilogues des dialogues et qui refuse d'en faire des ornements litteraires, conduit a former l'hypothese que ce corpus est a l'image de l'ame et, comme elle, tripartite. Trois types de dialogues sont en effet reperables quand on organise les textes selon la composition de leur prologue : le premier type sera dit "epithumique" car il imite la partie epithumique de l'ame, le deuxieme sera dit "thumoeidique" car a l'image du "thumos" et le troisieme "logistique" car se reglant sur le "nous". Une relecture du corpus selon cet ordre montre que chacune des trois familles de dialogues illustre son instance psychologique emblematique en ses divers etats : "l'epithumia" rebelle ou soumise au "thumos" et au "nous", "le thumos" sous la forme de la colere ou du courage, le "nous" impuissant ou non a exercer sa fonction de maitrise sur l'epithumia" et le "thumos". L'oeuvre ecrite de platon prend alors figure de tout harmonieux car harmonique, d'un tout dont les parties respectent des proportions arithmetiquement definies.
