Starting with central hypothesis of research with the decisive and deciding part of the substance in the organisation of the form generated by the photography and backing is wanting to analyse and understand the connection between the morphogenesis of photographic picture and the formal innovations proposed by the photography as an object. It is always to give the theoric possibility to draw and conceptualise esthetic measures of photography form, such as distance, monochrome and ambivalence. It is also to show that photography picture is a nodal point of theoretic thoughts. Appealing to sciences, tecnics and philosophy, photography is the central line of a preferential searching for an essentially materiological esthetic. This searching considered the photographies for the period 1839-1929

Poser comme hypothese centrale de recherche le role decisif et determinant de la matiere dans l'organisation de la forme engendree et produite par le support photographique, c'est vouloir analyser et comprendre la correlation existant entre la morphogenes de l'image photographique et les innovations formelles proposees par l'objet - photographie. C'est aussi se donner la possibilite theorique de degager et de conceptualiser certains criteres estheti ques de la forme photographique. (tels que la distance, le mono chrome ou l'ambivalence). C'est enfin montrer que l'image photographique est un point nodal de reflexions theoriques. Convoquant les domaines des sciences, des techniques et de la philosophie, la photographie apparait comme un axe de recherche privilegie pour une esthetique a dominante materiologique. Ce travail a pris comme materiel iconographique, la production photographique allant de 1839 a 1929
