My research work proves that impulse is central to understand the advent of the subjectivity. Indeed, we must stop regarding it as all-powerful and see that subjectivity is incarnate, that it can’t be understood without its bodily and instinctual roots. To guide us through this archaeology of the subjectivity, we have leant on the Leopold Szondi’s Triebsystem. It shows, in a first time, the role of the impulses in the connection with the ambient world, the Umwelt. The subject has a tendency to hang on to what is under his hand. Then, he enters in the sexual sphere, and he meets others. At first in search of sexual satisfactions, he has to advance to reach the real generous love which makes a place to the others’ desires. Next, the subject comes in the ethical dimension. He has to compromise with the paternal law which limits his desires. The subject suffers the hardship of the resentment against this law regarded as unfair ; then, thanks to the edification of the Superego, he will admit its necessity to live among his family. At last, the subject attains the terminal stage of his development when he accepts the dialectics of otherness and identity. He becomes able to choose a project which leads him to an authentic existence. The subject can become a creator and can overtake the everyday sense in order to pave his own way to the origins of the world and the self. So, it is thanks to the impulses that the subject can say I and becomes capable to the most important spiritual achievements.

Mon travail s’est proposé de montrer que la pulsion est au cœur de l’avènement de la subjectivité. Il faut en effet cesser de considérer celle-ci comme toute-puissante et voir que la subjectivité est incarnée, qu’elle ne peut se comprendre sans son ancrage corporel et pulsionnel. Pour nous guider dans cette archéologie de la subjectivité, nous nous sommes appuyés sur le Triebsystem de Léopold Szondi. Celui-ci montre tout d’abord le rôle des pulsions dans le rapport au monde ambiant, à l’Umwelt. Le sujet a alors tendance à s’accrocher à ce qu’il a sous la main. Puis, il entre dans la sphère du sexuel, et rencontre autrui. Dans un premier temps à la recherche de satisfactions sexuelles, il devra cheminer pour parvenir au véritable amour oblatif qui fait une place aux désirs de l’autre. Ensuite, le sujet entre dans la dimension du rapport éthique à autrui. Il lui faudra composer avec la loi paternelle qui vient restreindre ses désirs. Le sujet fait l’épreuve du ressentiment face à cette loi qu’il considère comme injuste, puis, par l’édification du Surmoi, il reconnaîtra sa nécessité pour vivre parmi les siens. Enfin, le sujet accède au stade terminal de son développement pulsionnel lorsqu’il reconnaît en lui la dialectique de l’altérité et de l’ipséité et qu’il accepte ce jeu. Il devient alors apte à choisir un projet qui le conduira à l’existence authentique. Le sujet peut ainsi devenir créateur et dépasser le sens sédimenté de la quotidienneté pour se frayer sa propre voie vers l’origine du monde et de soi. C’est donc grâce aux pulsions que le sujet se pose comme Je, et devient apte aux plus grandes réalisations spirituelles.
