The concept of "dramatic mystification" turned out to be at the center of our interpretation of appearance, that is both deceptive and guenuine. What is at stake in such a study of grace is our willingness to point out that aesthetics and ethics are based on the same artificial background, which is : the life-enhancing illusion of happiness. This kind of "transcendental deception" should be seen as an archetypal motive of polymorphous action rather than as a misleading or fake impediment to philosophical reason's flow. From this perspective of a stylized life, we have attached great importance to the art of pretending that genius is a graceful gift when it is mainly a matter of getting used to it, that is to say a matter of mastering the prismatic and polysemous phenomenon of self-deception.

Le concept de "mystification theatrale" s'est avere paradigmatique et central dans notre interpretation de l'apparence, qui est a la fois trompeuse et vraie. Ce qui est en jeu, dans une telle etude de la grace, c'est notre intention de montrer que l'esthetique et l'ethique reposent sur le meme arriere-plan artificiel, a savoir : l'illusion revitalisante du bonheur. Plutot que de voir en cette sorte de "duperie transcendantale" une entrave trompeuse ou fausse au cheminement de la raison philosophique, il est preferable d'y deceler le moteur archetypal de l'action polymorphe. Dans cette optique d'une vie stylisee, nous avons accorde une grande importance a l'art de la simulation, qui consiste a nous presenter le genie comme un don gracieux et gratuit, alors qu'en fait il ne s'agit dans cet art pratiquement que d'une affaire d'habitude, c'est-a-dire d'une question de maitrise (relative, mais effective. . . ) du phenomene prismatique et polysemique de l'autosuggestion.
