The study of the three basic components of rythm (meter, melody and imagery) demonstrates one aspect of the poetic style of supervielle. It can be said that each of these elements serves not only the vivid imagination of the poet but also the firm limitation which he has imposed on his work.

L'etude des trois composantes fondamentales du rythme (les accents, les sonorites et les figures de mots) met en evidence un aspect de l'ecriture poetique de supervielle. Nous remarquons, en effet, que chacune de ces composantes est a la fois susceptible de servir la libre imagination du poete et les contraintes formelles qu'il s'impose.
