Citadelle, saint-exupery's last work, posthumously published, is not finished and because of this, it is difficult to asses, undoubtedly it could have the main work of its author. Every great theme of saint-exupery eau be be found in it and all the works that were written before it seem to lead up to it. These are the multiple paths to citadelle which this dissertation is atrtempting to ehart, at the same time asking about the real origrimality of the work. Numerous deep themes ean be discovered in this work namely those of the cosmos and chaos, of the struggie betwwen the spiritual and the material and of the search for a god, for a new language and for a new way of seeing the world

Citadelle, la derniere oeuvre de saint-exupery, publiee a titre posthume, est inachevee et de ce fait, d'un abord diffielle, elle aurait sans doute ete l'oeuvre majeure de sonauteur, on y retrouve tous les grands themes exuperyens et tous les ouvrages qui l'ont precedee paraissent y conduire. Ce sont ces multiples cheminements vers citadelle que cette these essaie de reperer, tout en s'interrogeant sur la reelle originalite de l'oeuvre. De nombreux symboles profonds y peuvent etre decouverts, dont ceux du cosmos et du chaos, de la lutte entre le spirituel et le materiel et de la recherche d'un dieu, d'un nouveau langage et d'une nouvelle facon de voir le monde
