The mystere de la resurrection hadn't been annotated yet. Here is a critical edition of the first day; it is a tobe found in the second volume. Beside the introduction, the first volume offers a literary, linguistic and metric study, together with a summary of the whole work. The literary study successively examins the sources of the text either canonical, apocryphal or artistic, the composition, the religious interpretation and the dramaturgy. We obviously have to do with a genuine dramatist, rather ahead of his time, if we compare the strict logic of this mystere to the other contemporary mysteres. However, this theatrical practice is devoted to an orthodox religious fear. This mystere is an hymn to faith ; the various characters illustrate all the kinds of faith : everyone can find salvation so long as he believes in god or like peter, does penance. The linguistic study displays a high standart of language, more willingly archaic than modernist. The third volume holds the notes, the variant readings, the glossary, the list of the characters, the bibliography and, in addition the reference to the edition of the prologues of the second and third days of the mystere de la resurrection.

Le mystere de la resurrection n'a pas connu d'edition critique. Nous en presentons une pour la premiere journee : elle occupe le volume deux. Apres une introduction, le volume un presente des etudes litteraire, linguistique et metrique, ainsi qu'un resume de l'ensemble du mystere. L'etude litteraire s'attache successivement aux sources du texte, canoniques, apocryphes ou artistiques, a la composition, a la signification spirituelle et a la dramaturgie ; elle tend a montrer que nous avons affaire a un veritable homme de theatre, plutot en avance sur son temps, si l'on compare la logique rigoureuse de ce mystere a celle des autres mysteres de l'epoque. Cette pratique theatrale est en revanche au service d'une teneur spirituelle orthodoxe: ce mystere est un hymne a la foi; il presente a travers les differents personnages tous les degres de la foi: tout homme a une chance de salut pourvu qu'il croie ou fasse, comme pierre, penitence. L'etude linguistique montre une langue de bonne tenus, plus volontiers archaisante que moderniste. Le troisieme volume contient les notes, les variantes, le glossaire, l'index des personnages, la bibliographie et, en appendice, l'edition des prologues des journees deux et trois du mystere de la resurrection.
