This thesis deals with the + processing of spatial prepositions in a french-german, german- french unification-based machine translation system ;. It is divided into two volumes : the first one deals with theoritical concerns and first with the study of prepositions in four fields : morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics, and presents the current studies on computer-oriented processing of spatial localization. It is followed by a presentation of already existing models: case grammar and unification grammars, and the computer implementation in which they are used. It ends with a presentation of the cat2-system and of the way the translation program functions. The second volume corresponds to the pratical part of our work and presents organigrams used for the translation program we have created. It also includes french and german morphological dictionaries, french and german semantical dictionaries, along with the computer-program and the different test-examples.

Le présent travail s'intéresse au traitement des prépositions spatiales dans un système de traduction automatique français-allemand, allemand-français base sur l'unification. Il se compose de deux tomes : le premier traite de la partie théorique. Il comporte une étude des prépositions du point de vue morphologique, syntaxique, sémantique et pragmatique, et présente les travaux actuels sur le traitement automatique de la localisation spatiale. Il se poursuit par une présentation des différents modèles existants : la grammaire des cas et les grammaires d'unification, ainsi que les implémentations informatiques dans lesquelles elles sont employées. Il se termine par une présentation du système cat2 et du fonctionnement du programme de traduction. Le second volume traite de la partie pratique, il se compose des organigrammes utilises pour l'implémentation et de l'ensemble du programme de traduction que nous avons créé. Il intègre les dictionnaires morphologiques français et allemand, les dictionnaires sémantiques français et allemand, le programme en lui-même ainsi que les corpus.
