Récit et discours dans le Roman de Renart : sur la cohérence et quelques aspects de l'énonciation dans le manuscrit C

The purpose of this thesis is to study the consistency and some aspects of the expressing of thoughts in one of the manuscripts of the roman de renart, manuscript c, thanks to the new publication brought out by messrs. Fukumoto, harano and suzuki in 1983 and 1985. The first part focused on the consistency, is divided up into three chapters: - chapter one concerns the determining of limits of narrative unity, understood in the formal sense in its relation to the graphical division; - the second envisages the main modifications brought in concerning the arrangement in manuscript c and their search for justifications; - the third concerns the consequences which these modifications bring in their wake in the elaboration of the global sen,se of the work. The second part deals more specifically with thre expressing of thoughts in some of its aspects : restricted to the prologue in chapter 4, the investigation is extended in the last chapter to the wohleness of the units.

Le but de cette these est d'etudier la coherence et queques aspects de l'enonciation dans l'un des manuscrits du roman de renart, le manuscrit c, grave a la nouvelle edition etablie par messieurs fukumoto, harano et suzuki en 1983 et 1985. La premiere partie, centree sur la coherence, est decoupee en trois chapitres : le premier concerne la demilitation de l'unite narrative, entendue au sens formel, dans sa relation au decoupage raphique; le second envisage les principales modifcations apportes a la disposition par le manuscrit c et recherche des justifications; le troisieme s'interesse aux consequences que ces modifications entrainent dans l'elaboration du sens global de l'oeuvre. La deuxieme partie traite plus specifiquement de l'econonclation dans quelques uns de ses aspects: circonscrite aux prologues dans le chapitre iv, l'enquete est etendue dnas le dernier chapitre a lm'integralite des unites. L'interet quasi exclusif porte au manuscrit c. Tout en restregnant le champ de l'etude, garantit une certaine homogeneite au corpus et permet de mieux cerner l'interet litterature du remainiement, pratique typiquement medievale, et les particularites d'un mode de narration mixte, qui tient a la fois de l'oral et de l'ecrit.
