Tois thesis aims to bring a descriptive and explicative contribution to the study of the spoken arabic of maghreb. Within the generative phonology framework. One of the caracterestics of the spoken arabic in tangier is the existence, in its vocalic system, of a vowel alternances a which appear in the triconsonantal verb (ccvc). We will demonstrate that this vowel alternance is strictly contextual since the vowel (a) always appears at the neighbouring of guttural (&,h,h,g,x,q) and r : it is an assimilation phenomenon, their consonants spread their (radical) features on this vowel. Other issimilation facts will be then studied in the framework of geometry of the features proposed by clements (85). The processes of stressing and deletion were at last dealt within the framework elaborated by halle and vergnaud (1985, 1987). An appendix brings light sonagrams which permit to back up the argumentation of the vowels rule and their assimilation processes.

La these se propose d'apporter une contribution descriptive et explicative a l'etude des parlers arabes maghrebins, ceci dans le cadre de la phonologie generative. Une des caracteristiques du parler de tanger est la presence, dans son systeme vocalique, d'une alternance a a qui se manifeste dans le scheme trilitere (ccvc). Nous demontrons que cette alternance est strictement contextuelle puisque la voyelle (a) apparait toujours au voisinage d'une gutturale (&,h,h,g,x,q) ou de r r : il s'agit d'un phenomene d'assimilation, ces consoones progageant leur trait (radical) sur cette voyelle. D'autres faits d'assimilation sont ensuite etudies dans le cadre de la geometrie des traits prposee par clements(85). Sont enfin abordes les processus d'accentuation et d'effacement, dans le cadre elabore par halle et vernaud (1985, 1987). Une annexe presente les sonagrammes qui permettent d'etayer les argumentations sur le statut des voyelles et les processus d'assimilation.
