Cette these de doctorat se propose d'etudier les rapports que cette these de doctorat se propose d'etudier les rapports que marguerite yourcenar entretint avec la grece, au cours de sa vie et de son oeuvre. L'introduction, presentant les enjeux du sujet, cherche a definir les indices d'une conception du monde, ou, du moins, d'une philosophie acquise par l'ecrivain au contact de la culture grecque. L'introduction s'attache ensuite a montrer que de nombreux aspects de la grece antique et moderne eurent une incidence considerable sur l'ebauche et la maturation de cette philosophie yourcenarienne. Cette reflexion conduit a l'elaboration d'un plan, developpe comme suit : dans un premier temps on analyse le role tenu par la pensee presocratique et les elements archetypaux definis par le monde antique, en comparant ceux-ci a la perception cosmogonique du monde dont les oeuvres de l'auteur temoignent. Une deuxieme partie etablit un reseau de correspondances entre la representation theatrale du mythe antique et l'aspect dramaturgique, voire dramatique de la passion et du fatum, tel qu'on le retrouve dans les ecrits yourcenariens, notamment dans feux. La troisieme partie de l'etude est consacree a la poesie de l'oeuvre de marguerite yourcenar. On y analyse l'influence de la poesie grecque antique et moderne, au travers des ecrits de jeunesse de l'auteur, de traductions de poemes antiques ou de ceux du poete contemporain constantin cafavy. Enfin, la derniere partie de cette these s'attache a retrouver les indices du mythe

This thesus will study the existing relationships between marguerite yourcenar and the greek world, in her works and in her life. The introductory matter, wich sets the subject's main questions, tries to define the basis of a cosmogonical perception of the world, or at least, the writer's philosophia, while in touch with the greek culture. Further to this introduction, it will be shown that numerous features of the modern and ancient greece had a huge influence on the birth and the maturation of marguerite yourcenar's philosophia. This will lead us to a plan, wich is described below. In a first part, we will analyze both the influence of the presocratic philosophia and the archetypal elements of the classical greece, comparing it with a cosmogonical perception wich is unveiled by marguerite yourcenar's works. A second part draws the correlations between the myth, as it was shown in the ancient drama, and the dramatic representation of passion and fatum, as it is displayed in marguerite yourcenar's works, such as feux. The third part of this study is about the poetry of marguerite yourcenar works. The influence of the ancient and modern greek poetry is discussed, through the author's early works, or through translations of ancient greek poetry or
