La négation en chinois et en français : étude comparative

This comparative study is an attempts to bring a logico-semantic approch to bear on the way the negative is expressed in chinese and in french. The choice of the appropriate negative form depends on the respective priorities resulting from the specific features of each system. Thus modern chinese is characterized by an interweaving of the negative and the aspectual systems, whereas in french time-aspect and the negative are intirely separate concerns. French, on the other hand, is characterized by a rich morphology and the various negative morphemes can be classified according to the different levels of the sentence to which they roughly correspond, inversely, some of them can function at different levels of the sentence. The comparison reveals both different attention that each language gives to certains problems and similar aspects that might be of use when thinking of the negative as a universal.

Dans cette etude comparative, je voudrais considerer, par une approche semantico-logique, les specificites du systeme de la negation en chinois et en francais pour poser les problemes auxquels l'un et l'autre accordent le plus de priorite. Le systeme actuel en chinois se caracterise par l'entrelacement de la negation et du temps-aspect. De ce fait, la comparaison doit porter sur le probleme du temps-aspect dans le cadre de la negation, puisque ces deux systemes sont entierement separes en francais. Le systeme de la negation en francais se caracterise par une grande richesse morphologique. A differents niveaux de la phrase correspondent plus ou moins des morphemes negatifs varies. Et certains d'entre eux peuvent agir de leur cote a des niveaux differents de la phrase. La comparaison revele des sensibilites differentes, mais aussi des faits similaires. Ce qui peut etre utile quand on considere la negation comme faisant parti des universaux.
