This thesis aims at studying the different warps of speaking in the area around the northern french town of avesnes-surhelpe. Using fifty tape recordings from fifty villages, different studies have been carried out : the glossary, the phonetic system, the typical features of the dialect spoken in picardy, the linguistic geography of the area, a statistical study and elements of ethnology. The maps have enabled me to notice the walloon influence in area near belgium.

Cette etude a pour objectif de recueillir les parlers de la region d'avesnes-sur-helpe. En partant de cinquante enregistrements dans cinquante communes, differentes etudes ont pu etre elaborees : le glossaire, les phenomenes phonetiques, les marques specifiques du picard, la geographie linguistique, l'etude statistique et les elements d'ethnologie. Les cartes ont permis de constater l'influence wallonne a la frontiere belge.
