In this work, our main aim is to clarify the relation between texte and space in the work of the French poet Paul Eluard (1895-1952). We are focalising the themes and topics by using the methode of the so called critical thematics (founded by Jean-Pierre Richard and Michel Collot). Therefore we mainly discuss thematical matters like the role of phenomenology in the work of Eluard : questions concerning the relation between nature and spirit, imagination and nature, the correspondance of the arts and the role of spatial components in our perception of the world, are frequently evoked in his work. . .

Dans cette étude, nous faisons d'abord deux différentes distinctions d'ordre "langagière" : entre l'expression en images et l'expression en mots. Les mots dans l'oeuvre d'Eluard peuvent acquérir des sens symboliques, métaphoriques ou perceptifs. Les images font référence à l'espace psychologique et visent souvent l'espace intermédiaire entre l'intérieur et l'extérieur d'un corps. Ensuite nous élargissons vers les thèmes et les sujets de cette poétique. Nous trouvons d'abord les questions de la nature et de l'esprit et de leur interaction dans l'espace. Lié à cela, se trouve la question de l'imagination et de la nature ainsi que celle de la correspondance entre les arts (tradiction à partir de Baudelaire). . .
