Dominique Rolin, who has received many literary awards, can be considered as being an integral part of the French literary heritage. This work, the first university thesis dedicated to her, aims at being a documentary essay on the interpretation of her predominantly romantic work. Her writing reveal them-selves as being apparently dedicated exclusively to themes inherent to the fabric of her life : child-hood, family, love, death and dreams. To start with, a biographical summary will allow one to have an overall vision of the important periods in the life of the author, the knowledge of which is indispensable to the understanding of her work. A diachronic analysis of the various periods in the development of Dominique Rolin's writing and of the stylistic processes, which characterize each of them, will follow. Finally two fundamental aspects of her work will be developed. Firstly the generic aspect of the fic-tional autobiographical content of the various works which form the mainbody of the author's produc-tion. The second, stylistically, is in the use of a way of writing extraordinarily rich in physiological terms, characterized in this study under the term : 'Organic writing'.

Dominique Rolin, couronnée par de nombreux Prix littéraires, peut être considérée comme faisant partie intégrante du patrimoine littéraire français. S'agissant de la première thèse universitaire consa-crée à l'auteur, ce travail se veut être un essai documentaire d'interprétation de son œuvre, essentiel-lement romanesque. Cette dernière apparaît exclusivement fondée sur les thèmes constituant la trame de la vie de l'auteur : l'enfance, la famille, les amours, la mort, les rêves. Un sommaire biogra-phique permet, en tout premier lieu, de donner un aperçu des étapes importantes de la vie de l'auteur dont la connaissance est indispensable à l'appréhension de l'œuvre. Suit une analyse diachronique des différentes périodes dans l'évolution de l'écriture rolinienne et des procédés stylistiques qui ca-ractérisent chacune de ces phases. Enfin sont développés deux aspects fondamentaux de l'œuvre. L'un, sur le plan générique, est la forme autofictionnelle des ouvrages qui constitue l'ensemble de la production de l'auteur. L'autre, sur le plan stylistique, est l'emploi d'une écriture étonnamment em-preinte de termes physiologiques, caractérisée dans cette étude sous le vocable : 'écriture organi-que'.
