This thesis has as subject the study of the impact of the picture in linguistic and communicational development of the young child from 20 to 40 months, going to kindergarten. Our first focus will be the study of the behaviours of the children while listening or restating a same narrative « Where the wild things are » supported by three different medium: the book, the slides and the video. I effect, the observation of these behaviours (verbal and non-verbal) shows us difference between the medium. In a second time, we are interested to the linguistic and communicational capacities of these children, by noticing how they have used the interactionnal space during the restitution of the introduced story. This analysis points out to us the importance of the participation and the production of the children within the interaction. Finally, it is by analyzing the different solicitation of the referents and the reactions of the children that will be consider the means used by the referents to allow the children to reproduce the keg items of the story within the different situations depending on whether the group has or not of the book of picture which accompanies history.

Cette thèse a pour objet l'étude de l'impact de l'image dans le développement linguistique et communicationnel du jeune enfant de 20 à 40 mois, allant en crèche. Notre premier centre de réflexion porte sur les comportements des enfants à l'écoute et à la restitution d'un même récit : « Max et les Maximonstres » présenté par trois supports différents : le livre, la projection de diapositives et de vidéo. En effet, l'observation de ces comportements non verbaux et verbaux nous montre la disparité entre les supports. En un second temps nous nous intéressons aux capacités linguistiques et communicationnelles de ces enfants, en observant comment ils ont disposé de l'espace interactionnel, lors de la restitution de l'histoire présentée. Cette analyse nous indique l'importance de la participation et de la production des enfants dans l'interaction. Enfin, c'est au travers de l'analyse des différentes sollicitations des référentes et les réactions des enfants que sont envisagés les moyens mis en œuvre par les référentes pour permettre aux enfants de restituer les élément de l'histoire dans deux situations différentes selon dispose ou non du livre d'images qui accompagne l'histoire
