This thesis, based in the field of formal semantics, attempts to model the tense and aspect of Japanese verbs using the calculatory model of tense and aspect as described by L. Gosselin (1996). Our objective is to assign a value to the four japanese aspectual-tense verbal markers (V -(r)u, V -ta, V -te iru and V -te ita) in the form of instructions that represent the value in langue. Its aim are to explain the organization and function of the aspectual-tense system of Japanese verbs by a clarification of the rules and constraints. The final objective of this study is to compare the aspectual-tense system of the Japanese and the French verbs according to a formal model that can provide a tool fot their objective comparison.

Cette thèse, qui s'inscrit dans le domaine de la sémantique formelle, essaye de modéliser le temps et l'aspect des verbes japonais à l'aide du modèle calculatoire du temps et de l'aspect de L. Gosselin (1996). L'objectif est d'assigner une valeur aspectuo-temporelle aux quatre marqueurs verbaux japonais (V -(ru)u, V -ta, V -te iru et V -te ita) sous la forme d'instructions qui correspondent à la valeur en langue, tout en faisant ressortir l'organisation et le fonctionnement du système aspectuo-temporel des verbes japonais par l'explicitation des règles et des contraintes. L'objectif final est de comparer le système aspectuo-temporel du japonais et celui du français grâce au modèle formel qui peut fournir un outil pour une comparaison objective.
