The purpose of this study is to trace the scientific evolution of Tynyanov (1894-1943), the most brilliant of the Russian formalists, who was simultaneously theoretician and historian of literature, critic and novelist, translator of h. Heine and specialist of cinema. The author tries to depict the making of his scientific system and to show the originality of his works amid the Opojaz group and the others trends of modern criticism. In the same time, Tynyanov's way is interpreted in a broader cultural perspective which goes far from the formalist episode and analyses the links of the scholar with the silver age and with the tragic experience of the thirties.

La thèse se propose de retracer l'itinéraire scientifique de Jurij Tynjanov (1894-1943), le plus brillant des "formalistes russes" qui fut, à la fois, théoricien et historien de la littérature, critique et romancier, traducteur de Heine et spécialiste de cinéma. L'auteur cherche à reconstituer la formation de son système interprétatif et tente d'en dégager l'originalité, tant par rapport à l'Opojaz (1915-1930) que par rapport aux autres courants de la critique. Dans le même temps, le cheminement de Tynjanov est envisagé dans une perspective culturelle large qui dépasse le seul cadre de l'épisode formaliste et insiste sur tout ce qui le lie à la période de l’âge d'argent comme à l'expérience tragique des années trente.
