Abstract EN:

Our goal is to show that rhythm of reading aloud and that of spontaneous speech are different. These differences are due to the distinct cognitive processes relative to these two as@pects of the oral activity. As a consequence, the pragmatic conditions of production will generate distinct and adequate oral forms. Reading aloud produces a structured oral speech which may be analysed by a "metrical theory". Spontaneous speech, on the contrary, produces an output which is non structured, but organized by constant adaptation to the situation. This speech may be analysed by a "rhythmic theory". The use of distinct channels of communication (oral, gestual. . . ), that has been studied through different experiments according to different methodologies, show the existence of contrasting systems, which respectively rule the two modes of production of oral activity.

Notre objectif est de montrer que le rythme de la lecture oralisee et celui de la parole spontanee different en raison des processus cognitifs mis en jeu pour ces deux formes de l'oral. Ainsi, les conditions pragmatiques de production vont generer des formes orales a leur image. La lecture oralisee produit un oral structure et analysable par une theorie "metrique", la parole spontanee produit un oral non structure mais organise par une constante adaptation a la situation, et analysable par une theorie "rythmique". L'utilisation differente des canaux d'expression (vocaux, gestuels. . . ) etudiee a travers plusieurs experiences et selon des methodologies diverses manifeste et atteste l'existence de systemes opposes regissant les deux modes de production de l'oral.
