Abstract EN:

Dante proclaims the birth of a puer aureus and the emergence of a golden age that closes the history of the world. His prophecy models itself on virgil's fourth eclogue. In addition, the poet uses the writings of daniel and isaiah to elaborate on the political enigmas of the dog and the number. He also draws upon the corpus-lancelot to fashion the allegories of the great old men of crete and rome, as figures of the two empires of the east and the west. These will be replaced by an imperium of five hundred and fifteen years, corresponding to the final age of the world. The liberating hero is, then , a chivalrous messiah as much as an imperial messiah. Dante has in mind john of bohemia, son of the emperor henry the seventh.

Dante annonce la naissance d'un puer aureus et l'emergence d'un age d'or qui clot l'histoire du monde. Sa prophetie se calque sur celle de la quatrieme eglogue de virgile. Le poete utilise en outre les ecrits de daniel et d'isaie pour elaborer les enigmes politiques du chien et du chiffre. Il a aussi recours au corpus-lancelot pour faconner les allegories des grands vieillards de crete et de rome, figures des deux empires d'orient et d'occident. Ceux-ci seront remplaces par un imperium de cinq-cent-quinze ans qui correspondent a la duree terminale du monde. Le heros emancipateur est donc un messie chevalier autant qu'un messie imperial.
