This thesis aims at studying venitian society at the beginning of the 18th century through bartolomeo dotti's satire. Therefore, in a first time, before considering his vision, we have tried to define this witness, first as a simple citizen, then as a satirical author. After these premisses we give an idea of venitian society as it appears in the poet's satire. The periplus this compositions are the pretext of begins with the coming of the actors on the scene. We then consider them through the manifestations of their sociability and we try to value their political and economical insertion in the venetian society at the turn of the xviith and the xviiith century. The third and last part wants to show two aspects which are less contradictory than it looks : on the one hand we have the denouncement of the "universal masquerade" witch goes together with the constation of the generalised inversion of values and on the other hand the sincere affirmation of middle-class values, which imply the supremacy of money and the valutation of persons upon their earnings.

Cette etude se donne comme objectif d'etudier la societe venitienne au debut du xviiie siecle a travers les satire de dotti. Aussi avons-nous ete amenee, dans un premier temps, a tenter de definir ce temoin dont nous nous appretions a interroger le constat nous interressant tour a tour au "simple" citoyen, puis a l'auteur satirique. Ces premisses faites, nous nous sommes efforcee de donner un apercu de la societe venitienne telle que le poete nous la livre dans ses satire. Le periple dont ces compositions vont etre le pretexte debute par l'entree en scene des acteurs, que nous retrouvons ensuite dans les manifestations de leur sociabilite dont nous tentons pour finir d'evaluer l'insertion politico-economique dans la societe venitienne a ces annees-charniere entre le xviie et le xviiie siecle. Le troisieme et dernier volet s'applique a mettre en lumiere deux aspects qui ne sont contradictoires qu'en apparence; d'une part la denonciation de la "mascarade universelle" qui s'accompagne de la constation de l'inversion generalisee des valeurs et d'autre part la revendication sur de valeurs bourgeoises impliquant la suprematie de l'argent et l'evaluation de la personne a l'aune de ses gains.
