Reading a text on a screen poses the essential problem of the spatial information of words. In a serie of five experiments of the using two paradigms (decision times and manual aiming), we have shown that the reader builds a spatial representation of words and that this representation is related to the recall of its referent in the corresponding discourse model.

La lecture de textes sur ecran pose crucialement le probleme du respect de l'informaiton spatiale des mots. Dans une serie de cinq experiences employant deux paradigmes experimentaux (temps de decision et pointage manuel), nous avons montre que le lecteur construit une representation spatiale des mots dans un texte et que cette representation est liee au rappel des referents dans le modele de discours correspondant.
