This dissertation addresses the syntax and the semantics of coordination. Different conjunctions corresponding to 'and' and the constructions they give rise to are examined, as well as some phenomena closely related to coordination, such as plurality, distributivity and comitativity. It is argued that a coordinate expression is a conjunction phrase, with the conjunction as its head, and some developements of this hypothesis are put for. We apply it in particular to nominal coordination in Czech, and propose an analysis of coordinations with the conjunctions a (neutral 'and') and i (distributive 'and'), an analysis of comitative coordination with the conjunction / preposition s ('with'), and, finally, an analysis of full and partial agreement between coordinate subjects and their predicate.

Cette thèse a pour objet la syntaxe et la sémantique de la coordination. Nous étudions les différentes conjonctions traduisibles par 'et' et les constructions auxquelles elles donnent naissance ainsi que des phénomènes étroitement liés à la coordination tels que la pluralité, la distributivité et la comitativité. Nous défendons et développons l'hypothèse selon laquelle une expression coordonnée est un syntagme formé autour de la conjonction, son noyau syntaxique. Nous appliquons cette hypothèse plus particulièrement à la coordination nominale en tchèque, en proposant une analyse des coordinations avec les conjonctions a ('et' neutre) et i ('et' distributif), une analyse de la coordination comitative avec la conjonction / préposition s ('avec') et, enfin, une analyse de l'accord complet et partiel entre le sujet coordonné et le prédicat.
