Between 1924 and 1939 the writer michel leiris has not only published famous works like phanton africa and manhood but also a lot of articles in advanced literary, aesthetic and ethnology revues. These texts contain a fragmentary and conflicting anthropology. This study tries to reconstitute. At the same time it wants to be an anthropology in an another meaning in so far as thinking about the intellectual and artistic way of the man michel leiris in this period.

Entre 1924 et 1939, l'ecrivain michel leiris a publie (a cote d'oeuvres importantes et connues (l'afrique fantome ou l'age d'homme) un grand nombre d'articles dans des revues litteraires d'avant-garde, artistiques et ethnologiques. L'ensemble de ces ecrits contient une anthropologie fragmentaire et contradictoire que la presente etude tente de reconstituer. En meme temps, elle se veut anthropologique dans un autre sens, en tant que reflexion sur l'itineraire intellectuel et artistique de l'homme michel leiris pendant la periode consideree.
