The particular usage of the blank is the one of the aspects that characterize the poetry of reverdy. In actual fact, this usage is infinitely tied up with the nature and the need of his poetry. If so, the blank should not be seperated, in reverdy, from the search of a new rhythm, and of a special syntax into a pure and simple poetry. At the same time, it is necessary to take notion of the plastic and symbolic dimensions that the blank accomplishes. Actualizing in various ways the expressive resources of the blank, reverdy sets it up as a major means of his poetic creation.

L'emploi particulier du blanc est un des aspects qui caracterisent la poesie de reverdy. En fait, cet emploi est intimement lie a la nature et au besoin de sa poesie. Ainsi le blanc ne se separe pas chez reverdy de la recherche d'un rythme nouveau et d'une syntaxe propre a une poesie pure et simple. Il faut noter en meme temps les dimensions plastiques et symboliques qu'il recouvre. En actualisant diversement les ressources expressives du blanc, reverdy en fait un moyen majeur de sa creation poetique.
