L'idee de livre chez mallarme et borges

We have studied the idea of book in mallarme and borges. Mallarme is the french symbolist writer of the xix century and borges is the famous blind and argentinian writer of the xx century. Both of them believe in an infinite book. We have also studied the influence of the mallarme's poetics of suggestion on borges writings, and the mallarme's presence in the works of borges, because borges quotes mallarme very often. Mallarme has influenced borges by his personage of a writer who is dedicated exclusivily to the literature and the writing of a book which was the result of the world. The mallarme's thought of a literature made of the twenty four signs of the alphabet is also present in borges. They share the idea of a circular and cyclical book. Ours tactics have been to see the themes, motifs and myths that are common to the two writers. According to this, we have analysed theirs ideas of an eternal literature, of an anonymous author, and their conception of the literary creation as a labyrinthical and babelic building, and as a mask. Notre intention a ete de faire une etude comparee entre mallarme l'ecrivain symboliste francais du xixe siecle, et borges, l'ecrivain argentin du xxe siecle, a travers leur idee de livre. Nous avons analyse l'idee d'un livre infini chez nos deux ecrivains, ainsi que l'influence de la poetique mallarmeenne de la suggestion sur borges, et la presence de mallarme dans l'oeuvre et la pensee de borges, car borges cite tres souvent mallarme dans ses ecrits. Mallarme a influence borges par son personnage d'ecrivain exclusivement consacre a la litterature et a la realisation d'un livre, aboutissement du monde. L'idee de mallarme d'une litterature faite des vingt-quatre signes de l'alphabet est present chez borges, ainsi que l'idee d'un livre cyclique. Notre demarche critique a ete de voir les themes, motifs et mythes qui sont communs a nos deux auteurs et qui ont justifie notre comparaison. Nous avons etudie leurs idees de litterature eternelle, de l'anonymat de l'auteur, de la conception de l'oeuvre litteraire comme construction labyrinthique et babelique, comme masque. Nous avons analyse aussi dans quelle mesure leur idee de livre se rapproche de la tradition de la vieille metaphore du livre de la nature et du livre de dieu apres avoir etudie les inflechissement de cette metaphore tout au long des siecles
