Abstract EN:

The purpose of the present synthesis is a reflexion upon a collection of various articles and essays on literary forms of narrative thus far unrecognized by the literary and intellectual establishment. It consists in four major illustrations of the topic: 1) a socio-historical testimony, a best-seller in 1864, : enrichetta caracciolo's memoirs, a former benedictine nun; 2) a perspective of present italian para-literature; 3) a sample of the popular press in florence between the two world wars: la farfalla (1921-1933); 4) the complete failure of a literary career: the case of alfredo mori (1878-1948), a friend of g. Papini and g. Prezzolini. Through the study of the mechanisms of the various marginalizing processes usually caused by the institution (more specifically social and sexual discrimination of reader as well as of writer), this dissertation which is also based upon many examples borrowed from the italian and french literatures, is designed to show what was meant, down to the senenties, by the notion of "margin" as far as the literary field in the strict sense of the word was concerned. La presente synthese se veut une reflexion elaboree a partir d'etudes dont l'objet est le recit litteraire non legitime par l'institution. Elle s'articule autour de 4 illustrations principales: 1) un temoignage historico-social, best-seller de 1864: les memoires d'enrichette caracciolo forino, ex-religieuse benedictine. 2) un panorama de la paralitterature, de nos jours en italie. 3) un specimen de presse populaire de divertissement a florence entre les deux guerres: "la farfalla", 1921-1933. 4) l'echec total d'une carriere litteraire: alfredo mori (1878-1948), ami de g. Papini et de g. Prezzolini. En etudiant le mecanisme des divers processus de marginalisation ordinairement mis en oeuvre par l'institution ( en particulier la discrimination sociale et sexuelle du lecteur et de l'auteur), ce travail qui s'appuie en outre sur de multiples exemples empruntes aux litteratures italienne et francaise entend montrer ce que recouvrait, jusqu'aux annees 70, la notion de marge par rapport au domaine plus strictement litteraire. Dans un renversement de situation apparemment paradoxal mais qui n'a rien que de tres logique etant donne l'evolution recente du marche de l'edition, cette notion devrait aujourd'hui s'appliquer, non plus au secteur desormais proliferant d'une fiction pluriforme, mais a la part infime d'authentique litterature qui se publie encore.
