The desire to create a clergy native was one of the main intention of missionnaries pallotins. This project was many times failing, but well finally be effective in 1935 thanks to the tenacity of a spiritain, Mgr Vogt, father of the Camerounian clergy. After this step, a time native clergy was born and a genuine Camerounian Church. In 1955, Rome appointed the first Camerounian bishop, Mgr Etoga and the Camerounian hierarchie developes. Indeed, the first archibishop was named in 1961, Mgr Zoa, on the Yaounde's seat. Twenty years after, this positive development leads Rome to create four ecclesiastical provinces

Le désir de créer un clergé indigène était dans les intentions missionnaires des Pallotins. Ce projet, plusieurs fois avorté verra le jour en 1935 grâce à la tenacité d'un spiritain, Mgr Vogt, père du clergé camerounais. Après cette étape, qui marque l'acte de naissance du clergé local, naît une véritable Eglise. Car, dès 1955, Rome nomme le premier évêque camerounais : la hiérarchie camerounaise se développe. En effet, le premier archevêque camerounais, Mgr Zoa est nommé en 1961 sur le siège de Yaoundé. Vingt ans plus tard, cette évolution favorable amène Rome à créer 4 provinces ecclésiastiques
