Abstract EN:

Imagination shapes forms filled with he idea which they represent. When reflexion has set up a relation of convenience between the two elements. When the logic of reflexion comes to self-refutation, it sets up a "convenience of opposite terms", or humoristic relation, which enables the artist to set back his passion or his characters' or to correct its consequences. The humoris perceives and recreates the world as a moving reality, which reveals the problem of the metaphysical cause of this movement. Thus the artist has to interpret the manifestations of the metaphysical forces, without being able to guarantee the existence and life of his images. The the supreme image of the sun, which is properly pirandellian, as it is out of any relation of representation, is not sufficient. Then it is necessary to choose the christian myth of the sacred child as a mould for creation, which enables imagination to create images which are perpetually moving alive from a unique mould which is itself evolving, and to reveal itself as a faculty of recreation.

L'imagination cree des formes penetrees par l'idee qu'elles representent, lorsque la reflexion a etabli une relation de convenance entre les deux elements. Lorsque la logique de la reflexion se nie, cette derniere etablit une "convenance des contraires", ou relation humoristique, qui permet a l'artiste de contenir la passion ou celle de ses personnages, ou d'en corriger les effets. L'humoriste percevra le monde et le recreera comme une realite en mouvement, ce qui posera le probleme de la cause metaphysique du mouvement. Le role de l'artiste consistera alors a interpreeter les manifestations des forces metaphysiques, sans pour autant qu'il garantisse l'existence et la vie des images. La figure supreme et proprement pirandellienne du soleil, etant hors de la relation de representation, n'est pas suffisante. Apparait alors la necessite de choisir comme matrice de la creation le mythe chretien de l'enfant sacre, ce qui permet a l'imagination de creer des images perpetuellement vivantes a partir d'une seule matrice elle-meme en evolution, et de se manifester en tant que faculte de recreation.
