A study of the "social fact" : vocational guidance (VG) trough a comparison between Germany and France necessary requires to raise the question of the relationships between VG and psychotechnic, since it is true that both are inseparatable, at least for a while. In order to approach VG's own dynamism in its constitutive process, I first established a distinction between VG and psychotechnic. I then looked at how vg and psychotechnic interact and build a specific "dispositif" (as michel foucault means it). FinallyI aimed at discribing the divergent evolutions of VG in Germany and France in the post-second world war years.

Rendre compte du "fait social" de l'orientation professionnelle à travers la comparaison entre l’Allemagne et la France implique inévitablement de poser la question des rapports entre l'orientation professionnelle et la psychotechnique, tant il est vrai que les deux choses sont, pendant un temps au moins, inséparables. Nous avons dans un premier temps découple l'orientation professionnelle et la psychotechnique pour cerner le dynamisme propre de l'orientation professionnelle au cours de sa phase constitutive. Nous avons, dans un deuxième temps, examine comment s'établissent les rapports entre psychotechnique et orientation professionnelle, si bien qu'elles finissent par former un "dispositif" particulier (au sens ou Michel Foucault emploie ce terme). Enfin, dans un troisième temps, nous avons cherché à rendre compte des évolutions divergentes de l'orientation professionnelle en Allemagne et en France après la seconde guerre mondiale.
