Man of theatre, film maker and author of films from 1908 to 1931, camille de morlhon was the founder of the society des auteurs de films (society of film authors) and defended the rights of film makers in france. Author of the first french film made in algeria he then shot two films in hungary in 1914 before finishing his cinematographic career in romania in 1930. Polemist he devoted himself to defending his corporation and adapted foreign film during the twenties. Supporter of sound films and of modern cinematographic techniques he ended his career writing radiophonie plays and operatta booklets.

Homme de theatre, cineaste et auteur de films 1908 a 1931, camille de morlhon est egalement le fondateur de la societe des auteurs de films et le defenseur du droit d'auteur de films en france. Realisateur des premiers films tournes en algerie, il a mis en scene deux films en hongrie en 1914 avant d'achever sa carriere cinematographique en roumanie en 1930. Il s'est consacre a la defense de sa corporation, a ete un ardent polemiste et a ete adaptateur de films etrangers durant les annees vingt. Defenseur du cinema parlant, de l'avancee des techniques cinematographiques, il a termine sa carriere en signant des pieces radiophoniques puis des livrets d'operette.
