Distinguishing between information and communication is a complex problem. This notion concerns especially the ambiguous relationship between reality and representation. The analysis of the setting of information on television is envisaged in terms of ideology and/or technique whereas it should be done in terms of media. Information on TV is first of all television.

Distinguer entre information et communication est d'une grande complexité. Complexité essentiellement due à la relation ambigüe entre réalité et représentation. L'analyse de la mise en forme de l'information à la télévision est envisagée en termes idéologique et/ou technique alors qu'elle doit être effectuée en terme de support (média). L'information à la télévision c'est avant tout de la télévision.
