This thesis titled "history of the ajumba from fifteen th century to nineteen seventy two aim sat the restitution of the this people; nowdays becoming extinct from its protohistorical and historical origins; history of the wars, migrations, clannic divisions and reconstructions. This thesis also retraces the history of the ajumba socio-political, religious and economical organisation, particularly in the middle of the nineteen th century and from this latter till nineteen seventy two, throug the different changes that the ajumba have known : the appearance of supra-clannic power and dynastic power under the impulse of a strong man called amburwe y'owanga; the introduction of a capitalist economy that changes the ways of the life of the ajumba and introduces a new type of social relations.

Cette these intitulee : "histoire des ajumba du quinzieme siecle a mille neuf cents soixante douze" a pour objet de restituer l'histoire de ce peuple, aujourd'hui en voie de disparition, depuis ses origines protohistoriques et historiques, celle des hauts faits qui l'ont marque, constitues de guerres, de migrations, de scissions et de reconstructions claniques. Cette these se propose aussi de retracer l'histoire de son organisation socio-politique religieuse et economique notamment au milieu du dix-neuvieme siecle et, entre cette derniere periode et mille neuf cents soixante douze, a travers les differentes mutations que les ajumba ont connu : l'emergence d'un pouvoir charismatique de type supra- clanique et dynastique sous l'impulsion d'un homme fort appele amburwe y'owanga; l'introduction d'une economie de marche de type occidental qui change le mode de vie des ajumba et met en place de nouveaux rapports sociaux.
