This thesis is divided into three volumes : 1) an historical study of the reform of plain-chant within the cister cian order, during the twelfth century. 2) edition and translation of the treatise which formalized this reform. This treatise is now preserved in just one faulty copy, from the thirteenth century : ms Paris, Bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève, 2284 3) Musical commentary of this treatise.

Cette thèse est divisée en trois volumes : 1) Etude historique de la réforme du plain-chant au douzième siècle, à l'intérieur de l'ordre cistercien 2) Edition et traduction du traite qui fonde cette réforme. Ce traite nous est parvenu dans un seul manuscrit, fautif, du XIIIe siècle, le manuscrit : Paris, bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève, 2284. 3) Commentaire musical du traité.
