Abstract EN:

Abstract the purpose of this work is to study the senatorial and equestrian officers of the Roman Empire, from Caracalla to Severus Alexander. The central and provincial administrations are analyzed, but we have excluded the purely military offices. The thesis consists of five hundred prosopographical notes and a synthesis with chapters dealing with the senatorial careers, the equestrian careers, the social aspects and the political aspects.

Ce travail porte sur les hauts fonctionnaires, sénateurs et chevaliers, de l’Empire romain de Caracalla à Sévère Alexandre. Les administrations centrale et provinciale sont traitées, mais les postes purement militaires sont exclus. Cinq cents notices prosopographiques et une synthèse constituent la thèse, avec des parties sur les carrières sénatoriales, les carrières équestres, les aspects sociaux et les aspects politiques.
