A study of gothic windows and their place in the elevation of religious buildings in Île-de-France and neighboring areas, between 1190 to 1270. A methodological, architectonical, historical and stylistic approach. Technical and formal innovations and their pervasion, from the high gothic period till the end of the "rayonnant" period in that area. The creation of the composed window, the birth of the “rayonnant” style window, and the lavish geometrical patterns in "en délit" traceries defined as soon as 1240. Thus the advent of “rayonnant” style architecture can be defined, as well as the various general trends throughout the given period.

Etude de la fenêtre gothique et de son intégration dans l'élévation des édifices religieux, entre 1190 et 1270, en Île-de-France et dans les régions avoisinantes. Approche méthodologique, architectonique, historique et stylistique. Sont analysées les innovations techniques et formelles, et leur diffusion, depuis le gothique "classique" jusqu'à la fin du rayonnant dans cette région : la formation de la fenêtre composée, la naissance de la fenêtre rayonnante, et la folie géométrique qui envahit les réseaux en délit dès 1240. La naissance de l'architecture rayonnante peut ainsi être précisée, ainsi que les différents courants d'influence qui traversent la période considérée.
