Les garencieres-le baveux, vie et mort d'un lignage de la moyenne noblesse normande (fin 13e-15e siecle)

During the second half of the 13th century, a familly spread out in the evreux area, family divided into three lineages : the lords of garencieres, lords of croisy, and the garencieres called le baveux, lords of tillieres. While never reaching at the highest ranks of the political society of the time, our family became known as barons of normandy, captains of wars, chamberlains and counsellors of the king, before dying out during the 15th century. The first part of this work intends to study the garencieres-le baveux in their seigniorial, military and political life while emphatizing the family spirit linking them. The second part gathers the acts on the family garencieres-le baveux from the middle part of the 13th century to the second part of the 145th century.

Au cours de la seconde moitie du 13e siecle, se developpe dans la region d'evreux une famille composee de trois lignages les seigneurs de garencieres, de croisy, et les garencieres dits le baveux, seigneurs de tillieres. Sans ateindre les plus hauts rangs de la societe politique, cette famille se fait connaitre comme barons de normandie, chefs de guerre, chambellans et conseillers du roi. La premiere partie de ce travail s'attache a restituer les garencieres-le baveux dans leurs activites seigneuriales, militaires, politiques et courtisanes, tout en mettant en valeur l'esprit familial qui les anime. La seconde partie rassemble les actes concernant la famille de garencieres-le baveux du milieu du 13e a la seconde moitie du 15e siecle.
