Abstract EN:

The main purpose of this thesis is to analyze the works of ernest pignon-ernest, a french artist and practionner, born 1942 in nice. This study is established in full acknowledgement of his role as one of the pioneers of its kind in the of century, and the esthetic abundance embodied in all his works. He succeeded in transforming the art confined in a close space like atelier into "the art on the streets", a new space more open, more active and more present where "the collective life" can blosson on its own. In this way, he comes to destroy the barier between the art and the life, the world of image and that of the reality. The first part of this thesis is devoted to painted image" of pignon-ernest. The second part is devoted to the context which the painted images are destined to imply. At last, this study allows us to understand his artistic characteristic as a circle, a circuit which relates the art to the life, the beauty to the reality.

Abstract FR:

Le but de cette these est d'analyser les oeuvres d'ernest pignon-ernest, un artiste-praticien francais, ne en 1942 a nice. Elle comprend donc qu'il est l'un des flambeaux de l'art de fin de siecle et que la fecondite de touts ses travails: tout en s'efforcant de faire des dessins qui connaissent les heritages traditionnelles, il a deloge l'art de l'atlier pour l'installer dans la rue: un espace plus ouvert, plus actif et plus present ou la vie collective, qui s'y epanouit peut en profiter. Une facon de detruire la barriere existant entre l'art et la vie, entre le monde de l'image et celui de la realite. La premiere partie de cet etude est donc consacree aux images dessinees d'ernest pignon-ernest. La seconde partie est consacree ensuite au contexte dans les qui viennent s'inscrire ses images. Enfin, cet etude nous permet d'aborder sa caracteristique artistique concu comme un cycle, comme une chaine circulaire entre l'art et la vie, entre la beaute et la realite.
